Syrinx โ€‹

Syrinx is a 2D pixelated multiplayer capture-the-flag (CTF) adventure game set in a virtual version of the TIET campus. Players will explore detailed recreations of campus locations such as Admin Block, G-Block, and CSED, encountering various quests and challenges. The game emphasizes exploration and problem-solving, offering a balanced mix of fun and adventure.

Syrinx is designed to appeal to a diverse audience, including gamers, strategists, and puzzle enthusiasts, by providing a dynamic and interactive experience that encourages creative thinking. With its unique setting and engaging gameplay, Syrinx promises to be an exciting and memorable event for all participants.

Registration Process โ€‹

  • Teams must register on the official Saturnalia registration platform before the deadline mentioned on the platform.
  • Participants can register individually or as a team (2โ€“4 members).
  • Registration Fees: 50 per participant

Rules & Regulations โ€‹

  • Ensure to use only a Laptop/PC for the event.
  • A leaderboard will display the progress of the teams for each level.
  • In case of a tie between teams due to the same scores, the team that took less time to solve the questions will proceed.
  • The answer format is case-sensitive.
  • Participants must log in 10 minutes before the start of the game.

Judging Criteria โ€‹

Level 1

  • Correct answer: +100 points
  • Using a hint: โ€“30 points

Level 2

  • Correct answer: +200 points
  • Using a hint: โ€“60 points

Level 3

  • Correct answer: +300 points
  • Using a hint: โ€“90 points

Terms & Conditions โ€‹

By entering this competition, you agree to be bound by the rules mentioned above. The results given by the judges will be final and only the Thapar Institute Of Engineering and Technology reserves the right to make changes to the result if needed, under extreme circumstances, and disqualify any entry at any time in the event, it is determined that the entrant has not complied with these rules or has acted in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.

  • TIET reserves the right to disqualify any team promoting obscenity through their act.
  • TIET reserves the right to cancel the competition in case of unforeseen circumstances.
  • TIET reserves the right to change the prize money before the commencement of the final round.
  • In the case of any dispute, the organizerโ€™s decision will be final and binding.
  • The organizers are not responsible for the non-completion/non-occurrence of the event.
  • The organizers have the right to cancel, reschedule, postpone, and amend the show.
  • Any equipment provided by TIET or its associates must not be damaged in any way. If damaged, it must be compensated for by the liable participant/team.
  • In any dispute, the organizerโ€™s decisions are final and binding on the applicant.
  • The number of entries determines the deadlines.
  • Property brought by the participant is their own responsibility and not TIETโ€™s or its associateโ€™s liability under any circumstances.
  • The decisions of the Jury/Judges are final.
