Kaggle Wars โ
Kaggle Wars is a fast-paced machine learning challenge where teams use a curated dataset to design, train, and refine predictive models under time pressure. Blending accuracy, efficiency, and creativity, the event mirrors real-world data science competitions as participants race up the leaderboard. Beyond competition, it offers students a chance to apply theory to practice, fostering critical thinking, innovation, and technical skill. As part of Saturnalia, Kaggle Wars highlights the power of data-driven solutions in tackling modern challenges.
Registration Process โ
- All participants must register on the official Kaggle platform before the deadline.
- Teams may consist of 1โ4 members.
- Cross-college teams are not allowed.
- In case of overwhelming participation, teams will undergo a shortlisting process.

- 50 per person
Rules & Regulation โ
- Solutions must adhere to the principles of data science and machine learning. All models must be original and based on the problem description provided.
- Any form of data leakage or unethical practice will lead to disqualification.
- Participants are encouraged to use Kaggle Kernels for their work, but they must ensure their kernels are clear, reproducible, and provide sufficient documentation.

- By entering this competition, you agree to be bound by the rules mentioned above. The results given by the judges will be final and only the Thapar Institute Of Engineering and Technology reserves the right to make changes to the result if needed, under extreme circumstances, and disqualify any entry at any time in the event, it is determined that the entrant has not complied with these rules or has acted in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.
- TIET reserves the right to disqualify any team promoting obscenity through their act.
- TIET reserves the right to cancel the competition in case of unforeseen circumstances.
- TIET reserves the right to change the prize money before the commencement of the final round.
- In the case of any dispute, the organizerโs decision will be final and binding.
- The organizers are not responsible for the non-completion / non-occurrence of the event.
- The organizers have all the right to cancel, reschedule, postpone, and amend the show.
- Any equipment provided by TIET or any of its associates must not be damaged in any way. If damaged, must be compensated for by the liable participant/team.
- In any dispute, the organizerโs decisions are final and binding on the applicant.
- The number of entries determine the deadlines.
- Property brought by the participant is their own responsibility and not TIET or any of its associate's liability under any circumstances.
- The decisions of the Jury/Judges are final.
